As If There Were Trees

For our second collaboration with Oscar-nominated director Gary McKendry, we created the poster for his short film, “As If There Were Trees” (based on a Colum McCann story). The tall, claustrophobic title with its stretched “E” reflects the high-rises where the plot unspools amid tension between residents and immigrants. When we added the bird (a metaphor for the main character) as a welcome note of colour and hope, it was a wrap.
